August 13, 2014 in Film Spotlight

Harry is looking for love and meaning in New York. Harry is only 18 months old, however. Follow Harry on this funny, quirky adventure as he learns more about the true meaning of love.

Mark Nickelsburg wrote and directed this award winning short.  Harry Grows Up screened at over 25 festivals and won 19 festival awards including the Audience Award at LA Comedy Shorts, Best Short Film at our own Charleston International Film Festival and Best of New York at the New York International Shorts Festival.

Harry is played by Nickelburg's own son, Lucas. Josh Hamilton does the voice of Harry. Hamilton's work includes roles in "Kicking and Screaming," "The Bourne Identity" and "Away We Go." Hamilton has also performed on Broadway, most recently alongside Katie Holmes and Judy Greer in "Dead Accounts."

Nickelsburg's work has screened at festivals such as SXSW, New York Film Festival, Nashville Film Festival, and Seattle Film Festival. SHOOT Magazine named him one of their 'Top Up-and-Coming Directors.'

Harry Grows Up is co-written by Cindy Chupack. Chupack has recieved three Golden Globes and two Emmy Awards for writing "Sex and The City" and "Modern Family." Also a published author, Chupack has written two books in addition to having her work featured in the New York Times, Harper's Bazaar, People, Allure, Slate and Glamour magazines.
